The controller responsible for data processing is:
Attila Lelkes

2. Hosting of this website
This website is hosted by Amazon Web Services. The contracting party is Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg (“AWS”). The content is stored in a data centre in Stockholm, Sweden (European Union), and delivered via the Amazon CloudFront content delivery network.
When you access this website, AWS processes technically necessary connection data, in particular your IP address and the date and time of access. This is required to deliver the website and protect it against misuse. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in providing this mandatory information securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). I do not store any access logs myself.
AWS processes this data as a processor under a contract pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. A transfer to Amazon Web Services, Inc. in the USA cannot be ruled out. Such transfers are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which the company is certified (adequacy decision, Art. 45 GDPR), and on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

This website does not use cookies or any analytics or tracking services, and does not load content from third parties.
3. YouTube channel
This policy also applies to my YouTube channel “Unaccounted For”. YouTube is operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).
When you visit the channel, Google processes personal data, including data on usage and reach. For part of this processing, Google and I are joint controllers (Art. 26 GDPR); the technical means and the main responsibility lie with Google. I only see publicly visible interactions (e.g. comments, likes) and aggregated, generally anonymous statistics; I have no access to the underlying raw data.
The purpose is to publish my content and communicate with viewers. The legal basis is my legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Google also processes data in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

4. Contact by email or phone
If you contact me by email or phone, I process the information you provide (e.g. name, contact details, content of your message) in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); for enquiries regarding a business collaboration, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
For email, I use the GMX service of 1&1 Mail & Media GmbH, Brauerstraße 48, 76135 Karlsruhe, Germany. Processing takes place in Germany.
Please do not send me sensitive information about third parties. Please report information about criminal offences directly to the competent authorities.
5. Storage period
I store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose. I delete enquiries once they have been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply (up to 6 years for business correspondence, 8 years for invoices and accounting records under German law).
6. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability (Art. 15 to 20 GDPR). Regarding the joint controllership with Google, you can exercise these rights against me or against Google; since Google controls the processing, it is often advisable to contact Google directly.
Right to object: Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to it at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for me is:
Der Hamburgische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information)
Ludwig-Erhard-Straße 22, 20459 Hamburg, Germany
This is a translation for convenience. In case of discrepancies, the German version prevails.
